Life Will Write The Words

Originally released in 2012, Life Will Write the Words was the fifth full-length studio album from American pop rock artist The Rocket Summer. Recorded over a summer in Texas, the album sees multi-instrumentalist Bryce Avary add a few traditional and unusual ingredients to his musical palette, including a mandolin, banjo, trashcans and a typewriter. The result is another superbly produced album of energetic and powerful rock anthems that blend the core elements of drums, bass and guitar with electronically chopped-up vocal and piano samples. From listening to the radio-friendly singles 200,000 and Run and Don’t Stop, it’s easy to see why the album made it into the top 20 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart.

To celebrate the album’s 10th Anniversary, Avary’s own Aviate Records issued two new limited edition multi-color vinyl pressings. The first combined O12 (Spring Green) and O14 (Bone) using our 2 color A Side B Side effect, while the second variant (pictured) combined an O7 (Tangerine) base with an O21 (Lemon) splatter. We look forward to seeing what colors/effects Bryce and the label choose for the 20th Anniversary edition in a few year’s time.
