Released in early 2020 on Last Gang Records, If I Am Only My Thoughts is the first studio album from BC-based band Loving. A followup to 2016’s self-titled EP, the album is comprised of intimate, lo-fi psychedelic folk songs that will leave you humming their lullaby-like melodies for days post-listen.
Clocking in at just 33 minutes, the album’s 11 tracks started life as rough demos recorded in a basement makeshift studio. The band then decamped to Gabriola Island, off of the coast of Vancouver Island to complete the project and in the process captured some elements of the inimitable west coast wilderness and chilled ambiance in their songs.
The artist and label selected classic 180g Black vinyl for this release with a reverse board printed inner sleeve as well as 12×12″ insert completing the package. This is definitely one to have in your collection and we’re patiently waiting for news of the band’s followup LP to arrive in our inbox soon.
