Sylvie

The brainchild of Benjamin Schwab (Golden Daze and Drugdealer), the music collective known as Sylvie released their self-titled debut album on October 1 2021, via UK label Full Time Hobby Records. A year later the label enlisted our services to bring the album to vinyl and we were very excited to be involved.

If you’re an aspirational time traveller, longing for the smooth sounds of the 70’s Folk, Country and Americana then this is the album for you. Listen in disbelief as you’re transported back to the Nixon, Ford and Carter era with an abundance of warm instrumentation, silky vocals and bulletproof songwriting. Sparked by a cover of the 1970 song “Sylvie” by Matthews Southern Comfort, the present-day collaboration between Schwab, Marina Allen and Sam Burton later spawned a self-titled EP which in-turn developed into a 7-track album. Earworms Falls On Me and Shooting Star are highlights from the all-too-brief LP, with the aforementioned title track also proving tough to remove from your brain’s jukebox, post-listen. This is an album that must sound incredible when performed live and we can’t wait for Sylvie to roll into town so that we can check it out.

The artist and label chose our T2 (Clear) color for this release, which provides a nice contrast to the brown and dark salmon tones in the album artwork. We’re looking forward to see what they choose for the 5th anniversary edition, once this album is discovered by a wider audience.
