News: PRP Announces 10 Week Turnaround Times

Precision Record Pressing announces industry leading 10-week turnaround times for new vinyl pressing orders.

Over the last few years, vinyl records experienced a large increase in demand amidst a global supply chain slowdown, resulting in extended turnaround times across the industry. Many pressing plants were backed up by 7 months or more, and several stopped taking new orders altogether. Today (Feb 27 2023), PRP is proud to announce new capacity resulting in industry leading turnaround times of just 10 weeks from start to finish. While there are no quantity restrictions to qualify for this turnaround, it does rely on a few simple conditions:

• In order to meet a 10 week turnaround time, orders must be submitted with all assets ready, including audio masters and final artwork. The 10 weeks begin once we have received all the parts required to produce your records.
• We provide customers with a one (1) week window to approve test pressings (TPs) on our online portal. If approval takes longer than 1 week then this may delay your project. We’re proud to have a one of the highest TP approval rates in the industry.
• 10 week turnarounds are not available for bespoke items like box sets or tip-on jackets. While we can now make these items faster than before, there remains a handmade element to these print items than cannot and should not be rushed.
• While there’s not a lot of communication necessary once your order has been submitted and is underway, we require you to be responsive to communications from your account manager. We cannot ensure a 10 week turnaround should responses from our team be answered in a tardy fashion.

Please note that while we consistently deliver projects at 10 weeks and under, turnarounds cannot be guaranteed due to the possibility of unforeseen manufacturing issues which can sometimes occur during the vinyl production process. 10 week turnaround times are not currently available for 7″ and 10″ projects, or orders shipping within the UK/EU.
